Canon R5 -anyone buying this cam knows the complexities of setting up a DSLR--advise looking at some Youtube videos to set the cam up for the type of shooting you will be doing! And its only easy to use once you have it dialed in!

Great camera!
If you're used to using the canon UI menu system it's not hard to learn. I'm coming from a 5DIII and as far as operating the R5 they are similar. But the IQ and AF systems are WAY superior to the 5DIII, I couldn't be happier. I don't shoot much video so I haven't had any problems with the reported heat issues. Make sure you get a fast CFexpress card to keep up if you shoot HDR or high speed to reduce buffering. I started with the R6 which is a nice camera, but returned it to get the R5 and I'm very happy with my decision.

Great camera after firmware updates
I already knew about the overheating issue but my big thing was internal 10bit Clog recording, but now with the firmware update 1.1. and new firmware update 1.2 coming this month with clog 2, clog 3, Canon rawlight for 8K recording I think it finally becomes the camera we wanted. I'm happy right now.

Fun and powerful
Very fun to use and incredible image quality. Used with the new RF lenses and control ring it is very powerful. Take the time to review tutorials for menu configuration...there are some that will really improve the usability. No aftermarket manual yet (due in March), but the RF books are a decent proxy.
