All this is done with a catchy soundtrack that will have you nodding your head to the beat in no time.“Rhythm Heaven Fever” is easy to learn. It takes the basics of "Rhythm Heaven" from Nintendo’s handheld devices and brings it to a bigger screen for this version on the Wii. You can stab and slash your way through the minigames as you face obstacles, such as rolling peas and demons. You can even play a virtual game of badminton. The challenge is to coordinate your moves with the song’s groove. Mastery of the mechanics is not as easy as it may seem. You can’t just know where the groove is. You have to feel it and move with it.The actual gameplay is relatively simple. Players demonstrate their rhythm by pressing combinations of the A and B buttons on the Wii controller in time with the music. When successful, you are rewarded with medals and get to unlock bonus content. Bonus content includes access to a cafe where you can enjoy the toe-tapping tracks. You can also unlock an endless play mode and earn musical toys. You’ll want to return to the fun regularly, as this title has high replay value. The quick pace of the games makes it easy to enjoy them without having to dedicate hours to gaming time.The sheer variety of games and scenarios in this title will keep you playing. At first, the minigames only ask you to follow the cadence of the song. As you progress, you are asked to perform more complex combinations. The tempo may change, or the tune might go off beat. You might even have to perform to a remix of two different rhythms. "Rhythm Heaven Fever" keeps you engaged as it puts you in absurd situations like interviewing a wrestler or high-fiving monkeys.
