Product Information

Monopoly for the PlayStation introduces a whole new generation to the classic board game. The object of the game is simple: bankrupt your opponents. The gameplay calls for you to roll the dice and circle the board, buy or trade properties, build houses and hotels, and charge rent when your opponents happen to land on them. The more expensive properties are more desirable, as the rent is proportionately higher. You must also avoid the long arm of the law and jail time, which causes you to lose a turn and potential profit. From the look of the board itself, to the wheelbarrow, race car, and dog used as pieces, to the color of the deeds, every detail is accounted for in the PlayStation version. You can play with up to eight players with a multi-tap, or go it alone against the computer.

    Promptly shipped, and I actually think it looks better than described. My only suggestion would be to change the packaging to more sturdy cardboard (and include some interior plastic to protect the item in case it was exposed to moisture) instead of the stiff envelope in which it was sent. Sorry, as you can see, I don't trust delivery services to take particularly good care of the items they ship. Anyway, it arrived without incident, and looks fantastic! THANK YOU!!!

    Better than pieces everywhere!

    Decided to buy this as did not want the actual boxed game remembering as a kid the pieces and money for it could be found all over our house. As an older game play the graphics are not the best especially with my large screen television. But as the boxed game, it just as fun. Love watching the pieces (like the dog walking) to move while going around the board. Worth it buy for me!

    Great port to a great Monopoly game, nice throwback to the 1995 PC version

    This Monopoly game has the same style as the 1995 version on the PC by Westwood, it has nice music, quick gameplay with nice animations and effects and is fast-paced and doesn't "slow" down at any point. The AI are smart and the gameplay is very competitive. Hours of fun.
