In the heartland of America, Russian and Cuban paratroopers begin to drop outside while classes go on in the high school. When the soldiers begin killing everyone in sight, local teens take to the hills to avoid the new totalitarian regime established in their little town and, as we later learn, throughout the world. As country folk, they are well familiarized with survival tactics and hunting, which allows them to carry out sophisticated acts of military sabotage, upsetting the balance of power in town with their guerilla warfare.

    bring it on you pesky russian varmints!

    still the best version of this invasion movie.i remember watching it in the dying days of the 'cold war'young Charlie sheen and older front man Patrick Swayze are amongst a cast of familiar actors.in this flag waving yankee adventure.

    Gung Ho!

    This is a bit of a classic. A load of college take to the hills when the US is invaded, but they of course win in the end. Predictable but entertaining.

    There's plenty of better 80's movies available.

    Pros: A star studded cast at the beginning of their careers (clearly), The battle scenes however are well executed. Cons: Poor script and wooden acting all round.
