Plug & Play, That's the Way!
Installation was as easy and as finding the plug to which it connected. The plug ended up being on the opposite side of the vehicle behind a panel than where the internet directed me to look. It was not a big deal and once the plug was found, the only thing left to do was to route the wires to the hitch assembly. This is so much better than the old school search and splice method. Excellent Tow Harness Towing Kit
Excellent product. Have some difficulties while mounting the 4 way flat connector into the CURT 58300 Vehicle-Side Trailer Wiring Harness Mounting Bracket. It is a little big wider where the connector is supposed to lock into the bracket however some small shaving on the connector sides did the work and lock into the mounting bracket. Nothing difficult. It could be that the Curt 4 way flat connector is a little bit smaller or that the side mounting bracket is a little bit narrower. Overall the Tekonsha 118269 Tow Harness Wiring Kit 4 way flat connector has a longer cable and deliver more watts than the Curt or any other 4 way flat connector due to the a more advanced circuit module for all the trailer lights without creating any voltage drop or stress on the lighting system. Was a bit of a gamble whether or not this was compatible with my vehicle (2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport FWD) but wired it up last night after checking connection fit, which was a 100% match! Just purchased the trailer today and all is well now. Considering one local shop wanted to charge me nearly $900 just to deal with the wiring, yeah I'd say it was worth being patient and continuing to research a compatible harness for what, less than $80 bucks...Was a bit of a gamble whether or not this was compatible with my vehicle (2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport FWD) but wired it up last night after checking connection fit, which was a 100% match! Just purchased the trailer today and all is well now. Considering one local shop wanted to charge me nearly $900 just to deal with the wiring, yeah I'd say it was worth being patient and continuing to research a compatible harness for what, less than $80 bucks...
