Dramatization of An Unusual Piece of History
This is based on an historically significant event in WWII in India. Being a dramatization, the writers took a few liberties with the details, but the story is generally accurate. Released in 1979, it is most warming to see Gregory Peck and David Niven as senior citizens. While not historically accurate, the writers have a inserted lovely Barbara Kellerman into the plot for diversion. This was made to sell admissions, y'know. A Rollicking Good Yarn
Based on a true story. Well acted and well written. Picture this, a group of mostly middle aged out of shape to barely fit British Gentlemen who are all former military. classic war film
