A treat of all treats
It is such a treat to make your own ice cream, and the ice cream cake makes a fabulous birthday cake instead of sponge for a change. It is well worth the time and effort. Great Recipes
Really useful information, and recipes that work well. Although quantities are given in American terms, i.e. they refer to cups as measurements. I have tried 3 recipes so far and they have all been delicious. This has some amazing recipes in it! The ice cream base they use recommends totally raw egg, which I don't do... instead I make egg custard using the same ingredients and a slightly different method, then I follow the recipes for the incredible ice creams. There's not been one yet I've not enjoyed, and I've HAD to put the ice cream maker away before I turn into a total lard-a*se.
