A Classic I've Been Looking For
It's been a long time since I read the book, "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee", and, along with my nephew-by-marriage, a full blood Nez Perce Indian, who is himself an Native American Rights Activist, I used to attend pow-wows all over the West, including Crow Fair near Hardin, Montana.Traditionally held during the recreation of Little Big Horn, on June 23, Crow Fair was a MASSIVE pow wow, and I loved every minute. "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" evokes so many memories of those days, and I am pleased to add it to my collection.

Aptly titled!
This movie was very compelling from a historical point of view and was very well done in my opinion. It is a fair treatment of the terrible injustice that the US government committed in general upon the native American populations that they considered "in the way" of their expansionist plans for the country. It should be considered a national EMBARRASSMENT what our country did to these people. HBO did a commendable job of portraying this story. I highly recommend this movie!

Great movie ! It's the story from the American Indian point of view. If our country were invaded it's exactly how I would feel.

EXCELLENT
We visited many places in South Dakota relating to Indians and cavalry , Lewis and Clark, Mt Rushmore!! These older movies are great teaching aids and very enjoyable
