I had accidentally provided my old shipping address and the item had to be returned to sender, but the seller was gracious enough to ship it again after receiving it back from USPS. The open-box nature of the item made me slightly unsure, but all the pieces were present and sealed in their original bags. Excellent experience overall, thank you!

    My opinion so far. Pros & Cons.

    This reel is probably one of the most affordable DC reels on the market, at this time! This reel offers all the positives you'd look in a bait casting reel with the latest DC technology. Now lets talk about some pros and cons I have with this reel! Pros: 1. Affordable and quality for under $200 2. Fits comfortably in the hands 3. DC braking allows no thumbing and lets the reel do the work for you 4. The 7.2:1 Gear ratio is perfect for any application of baits/lures you want to throw 5. Large spool 6. Sleek design Cons: 1. No clicking tension knob. For being the price point it's at, it should have one. 2. Weight wise this is on the heavier ends of the bait casting reel, but that's because of the DC brake.     Shimano SLX Great reels great price.I have 3 of them and never had a problem with them.

    These are great reels,I would say the DC models are a notch above ,But I really don't have a problem with back lashes with these reels. They cast really smooth and far, They have a great drag system and can handle any size fish that I catch bass fishing,it even handles that occasional 20 pound cat fish :(

    The SLX baitcaster are the smoothest reels i have used and i have bass fished with baitcasters for over 25 years great reels order it u wont be disappointed

    Great reel!

    Ya know how you can just feel a good cast?... that is this reel! The cast just feels good and the retrieve is extremely smooth. Amazing price for such an amazing reel. $200 quality reel for $100! Trust me... do yourself a favor and buy one!

    SLX DC is a Winner

    The SLX DC is fantastic. It's smooth, and solidly built, but as everyone knows the digital braking system is the reason to get this model. It's so good it's pretty much like cheating.
