Convert a hinged door to a self-closing door with this Prime Line Products safety spring door closer. This white piece of hardware weighs just 0.8 pounds and features die-cast construction. It mounts onto the surface of a door's frame and offers a non-handed design for convenience. The holes are already drilled into its metal platform, allowing for a 1-inch-wide base and 4.25-inch hole center spacing. The 4.75-inch extending arm gently closes doors that weigh up to 150 pounds.

    These arrived quickly & are exactly as described. The entire palm and fingers are coated with gripping surface & it really grips. The outer back is a bright yellow. With the fuchsia palms & fingers, they will not get lost. They arrived in a great padded, protective envelope. I will probably be buying more of these.

    One month in . . . and no complaints.

    Purchased the spring door closer to use on the house's front gate (between the kids, UPS, FedEx, USPS - "etc." - it's left wide-open more often than not). Easy and quick to install (and is by all appearances well-made). As per the above title - it's been in use for only a month . . . but has thus far done a good job of keeping the gate closed - and this homeowner happy! :-) (Note: attaching the closer with metal screws [included] to a WOOD frame requires little effort . . . but I imagine a metal or PVC foundation will require more in the way of time and tools [electric drill].)

    Astra Gibcloser self-closers for doors and gates are terrific

    Great stuff. Straight-forward install. Watch your fingers while winding - if you let the closing bar slip, it's going to hurt.

    Good Closer

    Was easy to install & works fine but a little noisy & does not shut a door fully to lock position but no other closer does either

    Fast easy insall

    Got the first one worked so well got the second. Worked the best of any door closer I have found. Does not slam and if slowly close door to striker will remain so dog can enter room and close door after great. Mush faster and easier to install as well.

    Superior to spring loaded hinges.

    Appears to be a quality made product. Couldn't find a country of origin but it looks like it may be the UK. Feels solid. We'll see how it last. Mounded it on a light weight screen door.
