The item ( a book ), was shrink wrapped ( twice ), then covered with 1/8" thick soft packing foam, a bed of soft material on the bottom of the box, finished off with craft packing paper. I'm not kidding. I purchased a vintage piece of audio equipment a while back ( a Marantz receiver), and I wish it had been packed half as well as this. Also, the book was signed by the author.
