Premature Failure
First off it is not compatible with existing oem harness on truck. Have to purchase new "gray" connector harness. Installed early October, mileage 328,891 module failed this morning on way to work. Mileage 332,434 was driving 55mph 2 lane hwy. Coasting down a grade, eng down. Kick up in neutral, shut ign off. Key back on, glow plug light for 3 seconds or so, eng crank no start. Got er stopped. Module on heat sink in frt bumper. Had to run new "old style" harness and swap module with known good one. Eng lit right off. Replaced by mistake!
I replaced the original PMD on my 1996 Hummer several years ago with a cheaper relocation kit, only to assume that that PMD had gone bad. I decided to purchase this Stanadyne module because of better quality and I didn’t have to buy the entire relocation kit. After the Stanadyne was installed the Hummer still wouldn’t start. After close examination, I discovered one of the female contacts in the plug end that goes to the pmd was molded 1/8 inch deeper than the other five contacts. Purchased a new wire harness and engine starts every time! Even though the Stanadyne cost more, it’s more reassuring than counting on the cheaper stuff.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Often the cause of engine stoppage.
Years ago I paid a ton of money to machenics to replace my injector pump about every 13 months!! I finally went online to research the issue and discovered that it was more likely a PMD issue!! AND IT WAS!! I also needed to install the PMD far from the engine heat. It’s been 13 years and no more pumps replaced and only 3 or 4 PMDs.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
