Great Hair Brush
I've had the larger Mason Pearson brush for a couple of years and finally decided to get the pocket size to take in my purse. I have always had long thick hair and the Mason Pearson mixture brush is the best brush I have ever used. Definitely worth the extra dollars.

Best brush EVER!
I've had a full-size Mason-Pearson brush for 20 years and it is still the best brush I've ever had. My (adult) son would try it whenever he visited and tell me how good it was, how much he liked it. So I ordered the junior size for him (his hair is shorter than mine and he doesn't have a purse to carry the larger one like I do!) He loves it to. This brush stimulates the scalp, detangles without breaking the hair and has done nothing but good for all the years I've used it. Yes, it's expensive - but it's the best quality, longest-lasting brush I've every known of, and I'm in my 70s. My hair is long and straight and healthy, due in no small part to owning this.

A great brush for all time
I have been using this model Mason Pearson brush my entire adult life. Mason Pearson has always had a reputation for producing first class products, which is why I tried them in the first place, and I have to say that they have earned their reputation over the generations. I wanted a smaller, more compact brush, not just of boar bristles, as the longer, nylon bristles help the brush function better, and this one fills the bill better than any other I have tried. There is no beating this great, traditional English company for a quality product. I think my most recent purchase is my third or fourth since my early 20's (I'm now in my 60's)...they last for many years, and do such a lovely job...the bristles are the perfect length to massage the scalp and are gentle, comfortable for my very sensitive scalp. You couldn't ask for a more perfect brush. I'm so delighted to have a new one now, as my old one had certainly done ultimate service over the last 15 or so years.

Best brush ever
I read all the reviews on this brush and expected that it would be a good brush. It is actually a great brush. I've never used any other brush that feels like this one. It's like getting a scalp massage and it goes through my tangled hair like nothing else when I've had the top down on my car and I use it to detangle. This brush is worth the money.

I can't remember NOT using these brushes.....
I have used Mason Pearson brushes since 1975. That's it, the best, and there is no reason to try anything else. The bristle/nylon combo is killer - easily goes through the hair and no breakage. Gentle, yet does the job. Although I own the medium sized version as well, I am always reaching for the pocket....I have one in my purse and a couple of others at home. They are very easy to clean, and I kid you not, last longer than anything else I use on a daily basis. I have one brush that is at least 15 years old, and looks just like my new one, other than that the name on the handle is slightly worn off. Worth every penny.

The best hairbrush
Mason Pearson is pricey, yet it's a great brush. Compare it to any similar one and the imitatators and you'll see nothing comes close. This is worth the splurge. The if you take care of it, it will last for years. It feels great to use and you can see the difference in you hair.

Mason Brush Works
This is definitely an investment, being that it is small enough for my 20 month old daughter to brush her own hair and US$50. It does work well in both her thin wavy hair, and my very thick coarse hair. It really does smooth and recondition hair and that is why we purchased a new one - however know it is literally pocket sized. Next one we will buy is going to be full length and in the U.K. where they are more reasonably priced and available in stores to see and feel. I don't know whether the quality has changed since I was young. It seems well made.

Best Brush for all Hair Types
I have used MP brushes for 30 years. They' re the best for your hair and scalp. I have one brush that is 30 years old and it's still in amazing shape. I don't do anything extra to take care of it.

Amazing brush
I have long thin fine hair and decided to get the nylon & bristle brush against advice to get bristles only. I'm happy I did. The brush detangles effortlessly if you start from the tips and work your way up. The nylon bristles give my scalp a nice massage and help rid of loose skin on the scalp, then brushing gets it all out. It leaves my hair shiny and healthy looking. I have noticed less split ends within just a couple of weeks. I highly recommend this product. I will be following the care instructions to make it last as long as possible!

Simple good quality
I got it to replace my last one that I have been using for about 20 years and LOVE. I am very pleased with it's replacement. Simply a good quality product. The reason it's so special that no other brush can match it is how it feels on my scalp. Like a strong, gentle massage. The best hair brush I know of.
