Gamers join the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance and battle for control of iconic locations in EA's 2015 reboot of Star Wars: Battlefront. Players can freely switch between first-person and third-person perspectives as they fight across worlds like Hoth, Endor, Tatooine, and Sullust, either on foot, or aboard vehicles like speeder bikes, snowspeeders, and AT-ATs. Gamers can also pilot X-wings, TIE fighters, and the Millennium Falcon in aerial dogfights, and they can unlock and control classic characters, including Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Han Solo, and Darth Vader.<br><br>Star Wars: Battlefront is optimized for multiplayer action, and as such there is no campaign mode, but solo gamers can still complete missions offline with the help of AI bots or with a friend in co-op action. There are 12 online multiplayer maps that each support up to 40 combatants, and gamers can share unlocked weapons with teammates.

    Fun and simple. Must play for Star Wars Fans, for the right price.

    Yea its doesn't have the sheer amount of content as the first two battlefronts. Although it did get some free updates, including offline skirmish with bots. But this new battlefront addition still provides an authentic star wars experience. I mainly got it after renting for a few days, and falling in love with the fighter combat. I also paid less than $15 for my copy. And now there's a complete edition for $40, with eventual sales and discounts to come. This game may have not been worth MSRP for many at launch. But I certainly got my $15 dollars worth of fun.

    See (and shoot up) Star Wars like you never have before

    Star Wars Battlefront has been a long-awaited title for many fans and gamers alike. It, like most major titles, faced numerous delays and big cuts in production in order to get the game out. It's obvious by now the major complaint is the lack of a story (aka campaign mode). Besides that, being able to step-into the worlds of SW is an incredible experience. Hiking through the snowy mountains of Hoth, or zipping through the redwood trees on a speeder bike, the amount of detail is breathtaking. There are a handful of training missions, where the player can choose where to shoot and choose a weapon. The only other game option is online multiplayer, which requires PS Plus subscription. Oh, and the requirement to have an ability not to die every 12 seconds by a 17-year-old online player who will ...

    Not as good as Battlefront 2

    Graphic looks very nice. But everything else is bit of disappointing. Gameplay is infantry focused but without customizable weaponry. No more classes, no space battle, no campaign , no galactic conquest. I buy it because I used to play BF 2 a lot, however, this is a let down experience. EA also charges 50 dollar season pass , but I will never get it . because it should included in the original game.

    Fun game. I wish it had a single campaign

    I like Star Wars, more accurate, I LOVE STAR WARS!!!. As a kid I'm sure that watching that movie in the cinemas changed my life.I didn't have this game because everybody told me that it is a multiplayer only game and I'm not that good at playing. Nothing more frustrating than to start the game and in 5 second get kill by a 10 year old kid in his pajamas in another city. But since I love so much the movies and characters, I needed to give it a try. The graphics are excellent, the music is too. In a way it let me enjoy and be part of the movie. I did the training missions and the X-wig fighters are great. the training mission with Darth Vader is also good but his phrases are limited and become very repetitive after a while. I wish there was a single campaign mode. If you love the Star Wars ...

    Thank you I just got thw game and thank you for getting it to me by Christmas it is a gift . I would like to know if I can get a book on how the controls work. Again thank you my hubby will love it.
