    Incredibly well written

    My 17 -year- old daughter is reading this for her homeschool class, level 4 Classical Conversations. It is so interesting and compelling. She doesn't enjoy studying but reading this book is more entertainment than studying.

    A story of how knowledge was collected

    I have purchase about 10 of these books and have passed them out. My friends have commented that this book was one of the most influential books that they had read. The chapters are independent and can be read in any order. There are chapters on medicine, microscopic things, the use of telescopes, the invention and use of clocks, and the development of interest in history - early historic and prehistoric. It tells of how many misconceptions were passed down for ages because regard for early leaders. It tells of how the printing press was developed and how the inventor was rewarded for his work. Very easy to read and interesting
