    A must have, if you like rocks!

    For any one interested in gemstones this is a must have reference book. Stones are grouped by crystal structure with clear illustrations of crystal shapes. All known gems which fall into the grouping are listed with pertinent identifying information, and photographs of typical and atypical stones are shown. There is also a paragraph identifying stones which could be miss-identified as the stone in question. For example, in the quartz section, various forms of quarts are identified and pictured, from rose quartz to smoky quartz. Under the rocks which could cause confusion, you would find topaz which could be confused with smoky quartz. The information is laid out clearly and can be easily understood.
