Potential for a good repair if you do your part.
This design has limited ability to repair damage near the edge of the glass but the resin seemed to be good quality. On thing the directions suggested was a heat gun to pull resin down into cracks and I wish I would have tried that. The damage was bad and my initial thought was it was way beyond repair. The product definitely improved the situation by 75% or so, but eventually windshield will need replaced. It is way less conspicuous and I can live with it as is but probably needs replacement. Fixed line crack and chips. It works!
I searched on YouTube for easy DIY windshield repair kits and ran across this one. The reviews were good so I decided to order it for my windshield. I had a star with a line crack starting to spread and multiple chips in several places from small rocks. As a female I had no idea if I could do it but for under $15, I decided to try. It was so easy. I was amazed at how the repairs turned out. The instructions were step by step with pics beside each. It looks professionally filled. I would say dont waist your money on anything more expensive. Its been a few weeks and looks perfect, no problems at all. I was skeptical
My car's windshield got hit by a stone and I had a small chip with a few small cracks beginning. I followed the directions, and got pretty decent results. I can find where it was, but, unless I show you eactly where it is, you probably wouldn't find it.

Rain-x windshield repair READ THIS
This worked well for me on one bullseye with small cracks. Fixed it perfectly, The other bullseye not so much. It all depends on how the windshield was cracked . Forget about long cracks . Buy a new windshield for that. I was not successful in fixing a long 11” crack . This is not for that even though it says it will

Rain-X makes a great product
Fixed a large chip on the front windshield of a 2016 Jeep JK wrangler and then an even larger chip on a 2008 Toyota FJ. Take your time and don’t get in a hurry. It takes a few minutes for the glass glue to get totally into all of the cracks. You’ll see it actually move into the cracks. Once you fill all the cracks move the vehicle into the sun and let it dry. And don’t judge the repair the same day. Wait over night. When you get up the next day you will be hard pressed to find the crack. I think it did a fabulous on both vehicles. Yes, I would recommend it.
