This updated version sees Trevor Eve (WAKING THE DEAD) take on the role of Peter Manson, a man with a worryingly obsessive relationship with his teenage daughter Prue (Imogen Poots, 28 WEEKS LATER). This relationship is pushed to a jealous breaking point when Prue marries a conniving, violent older man (Tom Riley, LOST IN AUSTEN).

British TV at its very best
Whoever put this cast together should get a medal !!! Superb performances from all concerned, Story telling at a very high level and a polished production that simply could not be improved on. The twists and turns in the writing (orginal novel by Andrea Newman way back in 1969) will keep you watching even if you desperately need a cup of tea ! A keeper for watching again in a year or two
