    Fuel Tank Selector Valve #F1UZ-9B263-B

    My 1988 Ford F-250 (dual fuel tanks) had a number of fuel related problems all of which were legit. My F-250 on has 55K miles and all the equipment is original factory. I am the second owner and I cannot say how the vehicle was driven previously but I do drive it considerably. As one item would fail then another and so on. The one item I never thought of was the fuel selector valve. I had changed the fuel pumps after discovering they were no longer pumping fuel; the truck ran fine for two days, then I lost all fuel pressure at the fuel rails. I back tracked my fuel issue to the fuel selector valve. The pumps were working to the valve but no fuel was coming out. I tried some of the techniques found on the internet to maybe get the valve working again but only managed to get one side ...

    1988 F250 4.9, fixed my fuel delivery problem from only being able to draw from the forward tank.

    Nice genuine Ford OEM piece fixed my fuel delivery issue from only being able to draw from the front tank. Originally disassembled the original valve and tried to break-up the rust by soaking in WD-40 and unbinding the valves working them back and forth by hand. That worked great for about a month until I switched tanks while driving and stalled the truck out and would not start again from either tank. Eventually disassembled again to fix and atleast draw from the forward tank again. The last time installing the new valve tok about 15 min to change the out on my 1988 F250 4.9L, turned key to the on position to pressurize the fuel system for 3 seconds and started immediately. Nice quality piece and Im back on the road again using the fuel tanks as designed from the factory without rigging ...

    This is a genuine Ford part and it fixed my fuel tank switching problem, and things work like it should. I had tried a China part first and it failed the first time I used it. This part is the real thing. Installs exactly as original.

    Ford Fuel Pump Reservoir Tank Selector

    Tried to make the old one work, but no luck - Kept leaking. Had to bite the bullet and buy this one. Installed in 20 minutes. Pretty pricey though.
