    I am so, so happy with my purchase! Books were in very good condition, as described, and priced well to incentivize buying the whole lot. Seller also kindly accommodated a request I made. Thankfully, books arrived without damage from transit, but I do think it was risky shipping 7 paperbacks in a single envelope. They could have gotten bent, or the corners curled or scuffed in that packaging. I prefer it when sellers take a little extra time and care to package more carefully.

    Gift for a third grader

    When I was 8, my mother taught me cross-stitch and I made my first pair of pillow cases. I was eager to try and it was a lot of work, but I was delighted to accomplish it. The 8 year old I am buying this for as a gift has not expressed an interest in embroidery, but I decided to give it to her just to see whether she would take it up. It has plenty of little easy projects inside that she can do on a rainy afternoon while visiting her grandparents and I think she will enjoy it. If not, I have refreshed my own knowledge of embroidery with the section on the different stitches that I had forgotten how to do. It's a win either way!
