Fantastic way to get talking about future careers.
Great way to expose young people to possibilities. I had my 8 year old grand kids put the set together and as each 'character' was completed, I read the blurp included in the instruction manual. This lead to more questions than the blurp could answer By the end, the twins had written a short essay about their favorite Woman of NASA and my grand daughter is the newest fan of math. The set is simple to assemble and easy to display. The play that followed was satisfying to everyone. I would recommend this set to start discussions, especially with young women about the possibilities of future careers in the sciences and engineering.

LEGO Women of NASA 21312 - excellent set
Sure, I have a daughter and wanted to shower her with Lego since she was just a fetus. These sets (like Research Institute before it) are whatever from a diversity perspective, but let it be known that this set is fun to build and very cool. To be honest, I'm not familiar with any evidence-based reports that these kinds of sets inspired girls to go into sciences, but kids and Lego go together like two flat Lego pieces stacked on one another - don't need any science-based findings to know that! My son actually likes this set too, so don't be vulnerable to thinking that this set is ONLY for girls - it's appropriate for anyone: adults and kids alike, boys girls transgender what have you. If you see this set for sale (at a reasonable cost), get it NOW! Sure, getting a lot of gifts for little ones at the holidays might give them a heightened sense of entitlement; but consider doing what I do: get it now, and save it for any appropriate occasion. Blast off to a good time and learn about influential women in NASA history
Really cool set of mini figs. I like that it has enough pieces to make it fun to build and doesn't have a big footprint so it fits nicely on a shelf.

Women in Science
It's a Christmas present for very bright and energetic 8yr old. She also wants a telescope, too bad Lego has figured how to make a working one out of their millions of blocks! Would solve my problem!!

Wonderful LEGO set!

Not just for kids!
I know Legos are traditionally for kids, but my daughter really wanted this set for her 21st birthday because she interned this summer at the International Women's Air and Space Museum in Cleveland, OH. She learned so much about these ladies and was excited to find this set available. Now they're proudly on display! Plus, assembling this kit gave her a much-needed study break.

Great for Girls! Related to STEM
any girls with a vision of a future career in math or science, or with a skill in those areas - this is perfect for! Very entertaining and very challenging. Way to go LEGO's!

Women of NASA Lego Ideas Building Kit - fun AND educational!
They're sturdy, accurate and depict a reasonable scientific setting for what the kit is - several smaller "models" to display the different women's roles in NASA. Fun, familiar, educational and inspirational! As a woman (and obviously a former girl), I adore them. Only wish they'd been around 20 years ago, instead of all the hairdressers etc. Oh, and that postage and shipping to Europe was not so darned pricey.

Great Set!
Terrific value! I got this set and was wowed by the all-around awesomeness it contained! All the minifigures have reversible heads, and the Space Shuttle is just too cool! i love how the rocket boosters can be detached from the Shuttle, and how the Hubble Space Telescope looks! i think this is a great tribute to the women who served in NASA!

A good amount of detail with few words.
Amazing small set, it looks beautiful and doesn't take up to much space. Its very compact and there is great detail for the small amount of pieces used. I would recommend this for a display piece, not so much as a play set.
