Z wave feature makes it neat!
Installation was a lot easier than I thought. No drill needed! Only took about 10 minutes, if that. I had a tiny bit of trouble pairing it with my Smartthings home automation system but, got it on the second or third try. I have a multi-senor on my front door with the Schlage deadbolt and a white Hue light bulb in the foyer. I was able to program Smartthings so that the light comes on when the door opens but, didn't want the light to go off when the door closed. I thought about it for a while and looked in the Smartthings smart-apps. Turns out there is one that will work with this Schlage deadbolt. So, now when I physically turn the thumb-turn to re-lock the deadbolt, the light will go out!!! Pretty neat!!!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great looking and Convienent
The Schlage Camelot Touchscreen Deadbolt is a great addition to anyone's SmartHome enabled home. I had no difficulty getting it to pair up with the SmartHome hub. Installation was easy as I was able to use the existing deadbolt hole and only had to adjust the handle placement slightly. I have programmed several key codes for my children and family so that there is no need to hide a key outside (not cleverly hidden anyway). My only complaint is how loud the motorized locking mechanism is when re-locking the door once unlocked. Easy Install and Setup
The longest part of the install is chiseling the door jam out to fit the extra reinforcement plate along with the 2 1/2" long screws . This was well worth the effort and time because it makes the door jam much stronger. Also liked the easy setup of entry codes. I also purchased a Wink Hub and now I can lock, unlock, receive alarm notifications and review when someone enters via that door on my cell phone.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Love this Lock for my Smart Home
I initally was looking at Kwikset's variant of a Smart Lock that could join a Z-wave network but there are several videos on the Internet that demonstrated how insecure they were. I was initially reticent to buy multiple Schlage Connect locks because they retail for about $200 but you can always find a New Schlage on EBay for $125 or less shipped. I ended up getting 4 of them. Now all my exterior deadbolts are protected by Schlage and I even purchased a rekeying kit so I have one key to open them all (not that you need one with this lock but it's a backup). Great so far
Installation took 20 minutes at the most including setting up z wave control. Some sort of hub is needed if you want to control it remotely. Search around to see which ones work and what you want from a hub. The lock responds to all the commands I have sent it so far and has yet to drop from the network. Three weeks in, the batteries still show 100% with daily use on an outside facing door in colder weather. The keypad is bright enough to see at night and day but not too bright so it is not drawing attention. Of course it is off when it not in use. The texture on the keypad is one that does not show where you have been pressing. This makes it impossible for a thief to see a code left by oil from your fingers. The deadbolt is slightly tapered at the end so it goes into the frame a little easier than the regular Schlage lock that it replaced. This fixed the very slight alignment problem I had with the old one. It was between this lock and one by August. OK, not as great as it is advertised.
The touch screen is not as elegant as in pictures. The layout is slightly inconvenient because every time you hit a number on the left column (1, 4, 7), the register (check mark) is blocked by the finger and you aren't sure if the number was entered. Schlage Connect is a Solid Electronic Lock Choice
Like everything about this lock except for one small thing...the auto-lock feature appears to be permanently set at 30 seconds. Our daughter has a similar lock of a different brand, and its auto-lock feature may be adjusted to different timeframes, e.g., 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc. Other than that its a great quality lock with a solid build and reliability.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Don't need a key for anyone...
I bought 2 of these locks and the Wink Hub ($70).. I now can lock and unlock each door from anywhere using the Wink app on my phone. Just what I wanted
This is a smart home deadbolt. I picked this deadbolt because it met all my parameters; codes longer than just 4 digits, can be interfaced with my smarthome hub, and using voice commands or a smartphone app, can lock or see the status of the lock. My security system was getting old and since I needed to upgrade it, why not upgrade my peace of mind as well? I works really well as stand alone dead bolt! Matches the handles from the same manufacture! The only problem I have is not really the dead bolts fault but the wink app is a little slow! It's just a matter of patience! You have to wait a few seconds before you try to lock or unlock the dead bolt, through the app, or it will not connect at all! But it's the same way with the other Wink stuff I have connected!
