NotesChumbawamba was formed in North England in the Thatcherite '80s. Influenced by the DIY ethos of punk, they began spewing out a mixture of politics, pop culture and loud, loud noise. Along with a rep for being one of the best live bands in the U.K., almost every one of their 9 albums has reached the top of the U.K. indie charts. This set, which mixes dance beats, rousing pop choruses and subversive ideas, shows off Chumbawamba's love of pop without being shallow. 1st single: "Tubthumping."

Tubthumper!! Great collection of alternative music
I knew one song on this CD, but after listening to the rest of them, I was favorably impressed. There are some really good tunes on this CD. Excellent music collage.
