Magic Flute - Sheer Magic
I have seen about 12 productions (and heard many others) of this - and THIS one is by far the best. Diana Damrau's performance is far and above anything anyone has done - and the intensity of her acting while projecting over a full orchestra without ANY microphone is just astounding. Whether you like opera or not, this is well worth getting just for Ms Damrau's performance. This is certainly an '8 out of 5' performance.
