Excellent
The saxophone I bought looked good and any had a few minor issues like pads. The box was in used vacuum box but there was ample amount of styrofoam everywhere to keep it safe.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

it's ok for a beginner
I took it to a luthier who replaced the pads, cleaned it up, ........and since it came without the mouth piece , ligature nor end plug I had to purchase them........ ............I' m just a beginning student and dont know everything about it yet, and when first played it, there was no sound on some of the keye.........also the sound was not normal and in key- - - - - but that's mainly because of my need to learn how to produce good tone............... Reliable and gets the job done.
It is reliable and relatively in tune. It gets the job done. Up till about advanced high school level. A higher end model will play even easier, and better in tune, and have a more beautiful sound . Great alto sax for the money.
YAS-23s are generally well-regarded as solid student instruments, and this one supports that reputation. This is a used horn, but well-maintained. Arrived safely packed, in perfect playing condition. Mold ruined a perfectly good sax.
The Yamaha Yas-23 is a great saxophone of course when in good condition. This one was visually flawless and in good working order, however it was also moldy and smelled awful. Mold is dangerous for saxophonists as it will go into the lungs and cause damage to your health. So beware when buying used. Great find - I can't be happier with it
The instrument is as described: in almost mint condition. You have to look very hard to even find a scratch in the finish. I am very happy with it. It does have a minor pad issue on the lowest keyhole and I'll need to take it to the shop for that. I already own a vintage Selmer but wanted a "cheaper but good" instrument for marching band. Good saxophone, mouthpiece needs work
