The best budget telephoto canon lens
Canon stm lenses are awesome and this one is no exception. Make sure your buying the stm version and not the mark ii. The stabilization is better, focus motor is silent, and the front element doesn’t extend or rotate as it finds focus. Photos are very sharp at all focal lengths. Excellent affordable telephoto.
Excellent for the price. Only the tiniest chromatic aberration at full zoom. Telephoto lens starts where the stock 18 - 55mm lens ends. So complements that lens well. Only problem is not many camera cases support the extra length lens.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Great beginner telephoto
Overall, the value you get from this lens is pretty great. Compared to the standard lens that comes with most canons, it outperforms tremendously. The biggest con is that the auto-focus seems to have issues, especially at longer focal lengths.

New to photograph, but it's still amazing of a lens.
Bought this bad boy about under $70 USD, and since then, it's pretty good. It's no "L" lens of a quality, but for being years old, it still produces good pictures with decent sharpness with it's F 4-5.6 range, and the pics are crystal clear for the most part, moderate for professional photographers, but amazing for those who just started.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Nice Impressive Budget Telephoto Lens
For a budget telephoto it performs well at the long end. At 250mm the image is quite sharp. At low end 18mm a bit of distortion but not much. This seems to be very good for the price. A great telephoto for little money
I bought my daughter one of these for her Canon Rebel XT, and after thousands of sharp photos she dropped and broke it. Another used one was cheaper than a full tank of diesel in a pickup, to go use the lens. It works. Good lens for low price
For a low price, a very solid lens. Although it is not an STM lens, there is no need to pay the price difference. The ideal lens to complement the standard 18-55mm that comes with the camera, especially for anyone who loves to shoot nature and art photography.
