    German Concentration Camp detainees wore striped clothes that resembled pajamas.

    It's the perfect vehicle to teach kids about the Holocaust. Without creating a "spoiler," the outcome is incredibly sad, but the events leading up to it chronicle the developement of a friendship that would have been possible outside the concentration camp walls. The two boys have no idea of the political situation that is raging around them. the trust that they engender in each other is what leads to the unfortunate outcome. It is an incredibly touching story and an affecting cautionary tale for all future generations.

    Amazing movie

    This is a great movie but it can be upsetting at times. It shows how children are innocent, and they aren't born hating. They are taught to hate. It is also shocking to see how one group of people can be so evil to another group because of what religion they are. And unfortunately the children pay for the adults sick behavior. These two little boys are so endearing, but it is sad that the ones sister is only 12 and her mind is already being filled with hate.

    Seeing through a child's eyes

    This movie had me realize just how cold and insensitive some humans can be. But when the situation takes a turn and they become the victim of the very act they've been inciting on others. they realize just how callous their actions have been. Some need to actually experience the pain they're causing others to understand. That's what this movie teaches.

    Great Movie

    This is a great movie but also very sad. Is this a true movie? I don"t know. But I do know for a fact that it does depict the terrible things that the Germans did to the Jews during world war 2. Not only to the adults but little children and babies also. This I know is true.

    A good title which becomes apparent when you watch the movie.

    What first appears to be another WW 2 movie complete with concentration camp scenes, you see the war from the perspective from a German family where the father is a high ranking Nazi. His 10 year old son befriends a 10 year old boy on the other side of the barbed wire fence.at a concentration camp, and the story unfolds in a surprising unexpected way.
