Faced with overwhelming sadness and isolated from the world in his home on the lake, Peart was left without direction.     Motorcycling letter writing journal

    As a fan of the band Rush and an avid motorcycle rider and long distance touring traveler who loves to write. I knew that this book would be something I would enjoy. I followed Neil's journey with a map book of my own enjoying when I realized that I had ridden some of those roads also. If you are not a motorcyclist you may find better reading elsewhere.

    A true story of emotional, spiritual and physical survival.

    I am a Niel Peart fan. I had no idea of everything he went through. After reading this book, my respect for him has increased ten fold. His death is a serious loss to our culture.

    read the travel section and skip the rest

    The travel story in the first part of the book was pretty good and well written. All of the letters to personal friends in the later half had me skipping through much of this section.R
