Omg i am so happy with this log splittef,its my first time even seeing a log splitter,its been the axe all my life,im getting bit older its not so easy anymore,.jusg want to say this machine is awsum busts everything , bettr than i ever thought,just want to say the service was first class,very nice lady answered any quefies i had. This is an expensive piece of kit for me to buy but i can honestl say i think its worth every penny.

Very good machine
Log splitter arrived and I set about assembling the stand. Took approximately half an hour to get it ready to work. It is a well made strong bit of kit , heavy but with the stand being on wheels ,is easy to move around. The front castors are a bit small to wheel easily on rough ground but if you pick the front up it is no problem. In a couple of hours I had split enough logs to fill a four ton trailer. With the splitter being at a comfortable height to stand up and work , your back doesn't suffer. Little details like the two speed positions for the splitting ram and the ram return lock adjuster save time when you are splitting smaller logs. I tried a few logs that I had failed to split with an axe and this log splitter just sailed through them no problem. This is a good machine at a ... Solid, robust, well designed
Seems very well designed with a couple of very helpful features. Firstly it has two speeds - fast with slightly less power and slower with the full 7/8 tonnes - this makes it much faster when you have a lot of smaller logs. Secondly you can reduce the length the splitter head returns for smaller logs and this also speeds things up quite a bit. It has dealt easily with everything I have put in it, apart from some very knotty pieces which you could not get through with an axe anyway, but even with those I have reduced the wood around them enough to make them usable.Seems very well designed with a couple of very helpful features. The product arrived on a palate and require some assembly. Be warned it is very heavy and I needed help to complete the assembly which in itself was quite straight forward. Once assembled plugged it in and I was splitting logs. I found I could split most logs using the fast low setting only needed full power on logs with knots. the splitting bench is at perfect height and puts no strain on my back. it made short work of the trailer load of logs. An excellent product that's fun to use.The product arrived on a palate and require some assembly. Cuts like it is cutting butter
I hired a 7 ton wood splitter which was ok but stalled on big bits of wood. This one just splits with ease. As yet it has not given up even on big bits. The only thing that let's it down is the wheels. They look like they came off a cheap BBQ. The rest of the machine is solid shame about the wheels.

I thought using an axe on the big blocks and on a stuck axe, then turning the blocks over and thumping the axe on its back to break the block was manly! Then I got RSI on my left arm after doing this on a ton of wood over a weekend - this forced me to look for a log splitter. After looking at many different types of log splitter I chose this one - well priced and conveniently sized, though expect it to be heavy - it is necessary for 8 ton of force. I like the two speed operation and a manual ring to set the return stroke length to speed up the reset operation. The low speed high power used to start splitting the wood is awesome and will even break through heavily knotted wood, in one instance a piece of heavily twisted wood pinged out under such great force being applied, noting that ... I like the twin "V" blocks enabling the split start to take place at either end of the wooden block. I do not use the elevated stand because I like being near the ground and my blocks of wood are large! On high speed low force, the splitter will automatically back out of a cut to protect itself. It is at least 5 times fast than using the axe - and can split what I could only split with a chainsaw! I still use an axe - but less often - I still need to retain some muscle in a work-out!
