Released on: 03/10/2003 Price range: $348.00 The Sony SJ22 is a great pda for someone starting out using a personal digital assistant. I own 2 of these units and purchased the first one when the unit first came out. The visual display is very sharp (great for displaying family photos) and the navigation is easy to use. The unit will only recognize a 128mb Sony memory stick inserted on the top of the unit (around $22.00 on eBay). The unit comes with 16mb of internal memory. For the price you can obtain this pda on E-bay, it is well worth purchasing. I spent well over $200.00 when they first came out. There is no cradle sold with this unit but I found out that other Sony cradles will work whith the SJ22 just look around on ebay. The unit comes with a power adapter and usb sync cable. I hope this review has helped in your decision making and I have posted the full specification and software in case the listing did not. Good luck and happy bidding. The Sony CLIE PEG-SJ22 personal organizer is a great general purpose PDA for anyone looking to get an electronic organizer. Sony produces a number of accesories that you can purchase to expand the functionality of this device (e.g. MP3 adapter to make it into an MP3 player). I've owned one for a number of years, and only recently upgraded to a more advanced PDA. PROS • Palm OS • Bright Color Display • Compact Size • Expandable Memory with Memory Stick • Good Battery Life CONS • Slower DrangonBall 33MHz Processor • No BlueTooth Wireless • Unique Palm/Sony OS • No Built-in MP3 Capability Overall, the SJ-22 is a very capable PDA and I would recommend it for any first time PDA user. With time, you might outgrow its slower processor and lack of BT for wireless synchronization, but it's still a very capable unit!Vollständige Rezension lesen
When I am awar from my PC, my productive time doesn't come to an end. I have several Sony Clie units. My first one was a PEG-TJ37 that I bought in 2004. I used it with Documents 2 Go Software to extend the time I spent writing several of my books, ampng which is the highly-acclaimed book "Land of Childhood's Fears". Inspiration comes when it will, and having a PDA handy ensures that that these fleeting moments get captured in the spirit of the instant. Well, my TJ37 has seen better days after YEARS of continuous use and being dropped down a flight of stairs. I opted to get a less full-featured model, the PEG-TJ22, which doesn't have the camera (which I seldom used because I have better cameras) and it doesn't have the Wi-Fi the TJ37 has, but I hardley ever used the Wi-fi. Both models can connect to a portable (fold-up) keyboard (which I have) and this is handy to keep around if you surf the Web a lot and like to take notes without flipping through screens on your main PC. The PALM Desktop syncs with the Clie, and with MS-Outlook, which makes calendars and phone numbers easy to keep track of. In a digital age, it's hard to imagine myself without one - I don't need A hand-held PC, or a PDA which runs Windows; all I need is what the Clie has built-in, and Documents 2 Go (a separate application that interfaces with MS-Word). Sony did a great job with these Palm-powered units. I have been using the Sony Clie type PDA for almost 20 years; I love it, can't do without it! Then the screen goes flaky! But good fortune smiles and I find the Clie on eBay, not a used one, of which there are a few, but New Old Stock items at a fair price. I ordered one and it was as described, beat up box but new unused items inside. I was concerned about the rechargeable battery that had been sitting in the box for 12 years not being able to take and keep a charge. I called the seller regarding the battery, they were responsive and helpful and said they had already sold several and they had received no complaints. I ordered one and after several charging cycles, it seems to be doing OK, only time will tell just how long it will last. I have had to replace the battery in my old Clie, it's not difficult, and they can be had on eBay for $10 to $15 or so. I am happy with the transaction, the product and the seller. I will buy from them again.Vollständige Rezension lesen

I like the fact that I can use a cheap sony memory disk and can have 128megs of .pdf files at my disposal. I would have liked the option of using a generic AAA battery for when I'm in a pinch over seas and can't make it to a USB port to charge. I would have liked a live internet connection too. But we are talking a sub $100 pda here. With a little time and effort you can get most any webpage on the unit via plucker. I also have an external battery pack on mine so that eliminates my AAA needs but its a bit bulky. All in all I'm very happy with my Clie. This is my second one. I'll never leave one in my convertible again. Apparently theives know good PDA's when they see one. chaz kiser
