I have three scattered about my 40 acre ranch allowing me to record the various animals in this area. I'm pleased with the quality of the pictures and videos for the price. The battery life far exceeds what I would've expected, especially with the hundreds of videos. White out, blurriness and dark pictures occur at times as with any camera. The door latch was a little hard to open but a little vaseline and a q-tip solved that. I broke one small plastic piece the strap slides through by pulling it too tight but fixed it with tiny screws and a short piece of baling wire. It's easy to program and takes mere seconds to swap cards while feeding hungry mosquitoes. 10 second videos are what I've found to work best for me. Shutter speed could a little faster as moths in the night videos look like flying snakes. All in all, I think it's a good bang for your "buck".Vollständige Rezension lesen

This is a rather large game camera, but has a very good motion sensor. Unfortunately, the 35 IR LED's are somewhat weak, so it drops the light's range down to less than 10 feet generally. Being that the light is weak, the video quality isn't always that great. However, when your subject happens to be close, this game camera produces high-quality video clips. Like I said before, the motion sensor is very good, and picks up almost anything the walks by in a matter of a second or two. However, you probably want to use the "Normal" Sensor level because otherwise (in the "High" level) it takes a video practically every couple minutes, which wastes memory space. Even at normal setting it sometimes takes videos of the winds and other false triggers. I've also found that this game camera is not very water resistent, though it can withstand the cold. Overall, a good, well-rounded game camera.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I have been buying gamespy cameras "as is",repairing and reselling on eBay for several years. Each Moultrie model has its own set of malfunctions, but are usually simple to repair...and are the majority of availables. The 1st Primos Truth Cam I got was so simple to set up I thought I was missing something,so I downloaded the manual.IT IS SIMPLE;AND TAKES GREAT PICS...Most the probs I have encountered have been deleting full memories...there is a trick to it, but the manual tells you how...Moultrie could do better on inclusions in their manuals.
A good priced camera, easy to set up, and takes great pictures. However, it seems to take alot of juice from the 8 AA batteries. The camera has taken a total of approximately 1500 pictures (no video) but has totally used 3 new sets of 8 batteries in just over 3 weeks. By comparison, 2 other (Covert) cameras, which are set in a similar picture mode, are still taking pictures on the original set of 8 AA batteries. I bought all 3 cameras within a week or so of each other.

in the directions there is nothing said about having the camera at certain angles to avoid sunset or sunrise. in other reviews there are complaints about 'white out' photos or 'pink' photos, distorted. the reason being is the sun. placing the camera so that it does not get 'direct' sunlight eliminates all of the 'bad' photo experience. most of the photos that are taken for the advertisement are taken with the added bracket that you can use with this camera. which takes the camera higher and puts it at a downward angle avoiding any direct sunlight. you can do the same thing by placing it (without the expensive bracket) in a position that avoids the direct sunlight. the pictures are great, the camera is 'interesting' to the game but not 'scary'. I gave a rating of 4 because of the lack of information in the directions on the 'sunlight' issue. otherwise it would have received a 5 from me for quality and performance.Vollständige Rezension lesen
