I'm an old Strat' slinger from way back, my first amp back in the '70's was an old reel-to-reel tape recorder, my second a Fender Twin Reverb- 2x12" speakers, no master volume... and I've since gone through just about anything I could get my hands on (or that couldn't get away! -if you know what I mean.) I lost my Peavey Bandit recently, about the same time my 15yr old son came to stay with me to further his education, and I needed something for him to plug in to. When I saw this amp offered as a fix-er-up (DON'T try this yourself unless you know what you're doing. Seriously, you're more likely to get burned than not.)I got it in an auction for just over $50 bucks, shipping and all, and couldn't be more pleased. The part that was bad just turned out to be the power switch, and simply un-plugged/ un-snapped from the chassis and that was that. Piece of cake! -And it was designed and built for Marshall amps. -It has full digital effects and the emulated sound of a true valve-state amplifier. I mean this thing has really usable sound! (Without all the confusion- or the price tag! -of a Line 6) I've either had or messed around with lots of practice amps in my day, and they usually suck. This isn't something you'd create a sound on then mike for shows or anything, but it does have enough DFX to get the right sound on your guitar while you're practicing, which for electric is important. If you're looking at one of these get it if it's in your price range. It is an above average little unit with a pretty big sound.Vollständige Rezension lesen
I picked up this amp, in hopes of having a decent and enjoyable, low-volume, feature-filled, practice amp. Boy, how I failed. I listened to many demos of this product, online and it seemed to sound pretty good in the video setting. But, when I got this thing home and plugged in my best guitar, (PRS) it left me very unsatisfied and disheartened. It's clean tone was lovely and lush. Then, I switched to the OD1 channel. It was a bit fizzy, but i could dial the gain back and get almost a plexi-esque tone. Then, I went for the home run ball and selected the OD2 channel. It was muddy, unclear, unimpressive and fizzier than a fresh Pepsi. The effects were too touchy and went too far up or down and can't be stacked together. I would only recommend this amp to a beginner or to someone who has yet to experience or develop their own tonal preference.Vollständige Rezension lesen

This really is a great little amp. The EQ leaves something to be desired... I recommend adding a 7-band graphic EQ pedal. The sound is pretty awesome, in spite of it's size - a great amp for doing what it was designed for... practice! The effects contouring is a little odd, not a problem if you like your current pedals anyway. The outputs are handy, there are two... I use wireless headphones for mine when it's 3:00 a.m. and I've got to get my rock on! I pump mine through a 600 watt P.A. so the wattage is inconsequential. Good sound, good quality... after all, it IS a Marshall. Would recommend it to anyone looking for an economical quality amplifier.
The Marshall Name, well you know what you're getting so I expected it to be good, but I didn't expect it to Actually Have That Marshall Sound & Tone .... And then 15 Watts ?? Well , That's got to be just above the volume of a little headphone amp, because I've seen 100 Watt & 200 Watt Marshall Heads out there , So , In the end , it just has to be a toy ........... right ?? ............... W R O N G !!!!! 15 Watts CRANKS !!! And it's a freakin' Marshall !! Keeping in mind that it's not going to have the exact sound of a 100 Watt Marshall Head through a 4 Speaker cabinet of course, it's no where Near the money for those either !! You can use this on stage in a decent sized club and larger if you put a mic on it , but sorry, it won't fill an arena that seats 40 thousand .... But this is way more than a practice amp, it's actually a practical road amp for your gig if you don't want to lug around a huge heavy full sized amp because your not the focus of the band, like EVH is .... The effects are usable too but by hand, which is impossible to switch While you're playing, so if you need to switch effects on and off mid song, Maybe there's a pedal you'll also need , I don't know if there is one or not, but aside from that, Buy This Thing Right Now !!!! It's really more than this guy expected anyway and for the price, why not ...Vollständige Rezension lesen
