This monitor is outstanding! There's probably not much better picture quality you could get no matter how high in price you would go because it is simply already as good as it can be (at least until we get past 2560x1600 resolution). The S-IPS panel is simply brilliant in both sharpness and color reproduction and there is no lag or blur noticable at fast-pacing scenes either. Even the light bleeding at the edges (noticable only if you make 100% black picture and turn the lights off in the room at night) is extremely thin and barely visible, definitely a lot better than 3008WFP had. Compared to 3008WFP (which I owned before), the screen provides even better picture quality (the scale of gray is now just perfect) and OSD control is much more powerful. Switching between inputs is lot faster now and I really like the ability to set individual attributes for each connection so you can have for example different brightness and contrast for DVI-1, DVI-2 and Composite Video. As far as the amount of the inputs goes, it is on par with 3008 (trading legacy S-Video for one more HDMI) and miles ahead of any competition. In fact this is one of the primary reasons why I love these Dell monitors so much. I can connect my two PCs (DVI-1/DVI-2), T-Home TV (HDMI-1), old Atari (HDMI-2, though this time I had to convert its S-Video output ;-)) and the old DvD player (Composite Video) directly to it while still having one DisplayPort left. Just amazing! However when compared to 3008WFP I must also mention one drawback (and the reason why I gave it only 4/5 in features). While the screen and electronics is obviously better, the 3011 case was a clear victim of heavy costs-cutting. Compared to its predecessor the frame and particulary the stand-up pillar is visibly cheaper with no glass coating or polished chrome logo. On the other hand I think this was a reasonable trade-off since it probably allowed it to be so much cheaper while still taking no compromises in what really matters - the picture quality and handling. Dell 3008WFP used to cost 1500 euro at the times of its manufacturing and I'll gladly spare 500 euros for not having so fancy cover. I also spent a good time killing my eyes by searching for dead subpixels at red/gree/blue full-screen backgrounds but just like in the old 3008WFP case... I failed to find any. Overally - It's the excellent product and probably the best 30" panel you can get in 1000 euro range. Good job Dell!Vollständige Rezension lesen
